Kahi Sushi was nice enough to put K Pop Demon Hunters on the TV while we ate delicious sushi for my birthday! 

Had never been before, but we had a great time and will likely go for the full weekend next year

Saw some friends and family. Went to the Dentist. Enjoyed some good ol' San Diego traffic.

Thursday was frick'n while, guys. Nikki and I got up at 4 am to get into cosplay and trek down to the convention center to line up for the Helluverse Panel at the Hilton. We were right on the bay, which was nice and the line was in the shade. Starbucks was nearby. So overall, a nice line experience. 

It's crazy seeing where Critical Role is now. Matthew Mercer used to be a guest at a lot of the smaller San Diego cons back in the day; seeing his success over time is really cool.

The Hellaverse panel was fun. We got really great seats, and the other panels we sat through were pretty good. The real start of the show was my little cardboard head. Poor Amir will never be rid of me. Sorry bud! After the panel, we followed Morgana and some photographers to the back side of the convention hall for a Hellaverse cosplay meet-up. We took a lot of photos and met a lot of fun people. We got invited to the after-party too. I really wanted to go, but I was so exhausted that I knew I wouldn't be able to sit through my tattoo the following morning if I went. It seemed like a really fun time. 

The Amir head ended up being so useful. We kept getting separated in the hall, so I used it as a guide; the girls just followed the bouncing elf. It also served as a fan, shade in the sun, a conversation starter, and a weapon. 

Hector and I ended the day by stuffing our faces. 

I still can't believe I did this.

Went to the Hazbin sing-a-long panel. Hungout with Hector, my decades long Comic Con Sherpa.

Flight home

Flew in rather late. SLC to Denver, lay over super short and the first plane was late so I hauled ass to the second flight and hopped right onto my next flight to Connecticut. Came in pretty late. Panda came to pick me up and we went through the adventure of South West leaving one of my bags in Denver haha.  

Costume suitcase was lost at this point so no costume for the day. Just shopping.
South West did get my suitcase to me by that evening. 

Even though I got my cosplay suitcase back, this dumbass left key parts of two cosplays at home. Brilliant! So I just wore my SDCC costume instead. Also, panel day! Thank you to everyone who came out to hear me ramble. 

Lazy cosplay day. Last rounds and goodbyes. 

Flew to San Diego with a layover in Chicago 

There were several key things about this weekend that made it fun. One, seeing Panda again after like a billion years. Meeting her roommate Lita and little old girl Ellie. Getting to explore a new place. Having no real agenda other than my panel. So we didn't get to the con until noon at the earliest each day. I am a firm believer that you can go to the best con in the world and it will still suck based on who you are with. You can go to the worst con and have the best time of your life when you are with the right people.

Not good: The humidity. 

Dogshittiredday. Was going to do Loki but ended up as Spider Gwen. But my darling sister surprised me by dressing as Sylvie so I changed haha. Stood in line to have Brendon sign our photo and met John Rhys-Davies, he was just a delight. Got dinner and off to the airport I went. 

The last time I was at this event was 2018. At that time it was Denver Comic Con. Its been through some changes. Lets go over the good and the bad. 

Wen't to Bewilder Brewing Co. next door for dinner. Food was pretty good  and your order numbers are celebrity mugshots, which I found hilarious. The rest of the evening was dancing and karaoke.
